woots!!~ back from camp in taman negara.. i think i enjoyed and love this camp quite alot.. mm.. its really all in the wild.. hardly any civilisation.. and lots of insects and creatures but it was really enjoyable..

DAY 1
with our heavy backpacks and stuff we reached school and gathered in the canteen. den we board the buses to the checkpoints, cleared customs and transfer to a malaysian bus.. it was a loong long journey there.. we stopped at 2 stops.. one is for a break the other for lunch... the lunch place - yong peng isnt that nice.. there were many cats and all malay stalls. glad we took away lunch at the previous stop. hehes. back to the bus for the winding journey again.. towards the campsite or rather the tekam plantation resort. it was a sleepy ride but we sang and cheered on our way there.
as we checked into the resorts or bunks.. ms seh allowed us to switch bunk mates. so we took our stuff and dew wengsun amanda rebecca jessica sherri liangzhu shimin weiting and i shared a bunk.. our bunk was very big and many fans and not so squeezy and we kept it clean and the floor was shiny.. they even stick stars on the ceiling haha.. it was a nice and neat room la.. den we prepared and slacked till dinner time.. had so much tym to wash up etc..but the toilets were a little overwhelming with flies and bugs and we had a nice tym washing them all away.. they were all dead le.. haha..
den went for dinner.. the food wasnt that nice but well it was okay.. den we went to learn KNOTTING.. we learn how to tie knots together to prepare for the next day's activities.. den we had a nice sleep after laying our beds and we have many spare pillows as our bunk only has 10 ppl..

DAY 2
we slept early woke early haha. we were the first to gather outside in the "parade square".. it looks like one actually.. with a flag pole etc.. and ya.. we were rather energetic.. den the devotion was only 2 sentence.. hahs den went for breakfast.. there were bread and so we were spreading the jam and stuff and dipping into warm milo.. noodles and rice was also served..

RAFTING. haha. i love that.. it was so funny... we had money to buy materials to build the raft.. we planned and we got the things.. den time started ticking and we got 45 min to build it.. our raft was like haha.. we tie the strings together.. we had ten in a group.. we girls tie the knots fast while the guys was like dilly dally and we had to hurry the guys to speed them up..den we tie the barrels and poles together.. our raft has many flaws... instructors keep commenting on like "what happens if..." and "imagine it will..." den we keep replanning and redoing some parts.. and to buy time its 50 rm for 50 secs... so not worth it.. so we just did it trying our best.. soon time was up we got the life jackets and the oars.. the boys volunteered to be the 4 men on board... it was a laughing time.. the two other groups had their raft in water rather smoothly.. we were struggling to push the raft into the water.. haha.. before u knew it one barrel slid off.. den slowly the strings came undone.. the whole raft separate and the boys sitting on the barrels all fell through.. it was indeed very funny.. den we were disqualified haha.. we gathered all the things and back to the area.. lol.. we had the team spirit and i really like it..

lunch and slack period again..

FLYING FOX it is nice!! the height was rather low than i expected.. about 4 storeys high i think.. it was a 100m way down.. we all tried and went zooming down.. the way up was okay also.. like climbing a ladder.. den the way down was so fun and nice..! it was like can feel the wind.. and it went from slow to fast suddenly.. it was nice.. den after ur bunk mates are done u are allowed to go back to the rooms.. den we went back to slack even more... it was like a long time till dinner time.. about 2 hours plus plus plus.. more than that la.. can even take afternoon nap.. lol... haha..

den went for dinner den after that gathered in our bunk den it was so dark.. we did not want the lights to attract the flies and bugs so we off all the lights and talk in the dark.. so funny.. and ya.. after those nights i think we noe how to play soccer le.. we kick all the dead flies out of the room.. and it was like fun instead of getting disgusted. lol.. den did WEAVING that night.. using duno wad leaves.. not sure banana or coconut or wad.. den did a sword.. haha.. it was a funny night too.. cos the leaves keep tickling each other.. haha.. den we taught ms seh how to do it.. it was a pity that we cannot bring it back to singapore.. haha cos very in the way.. like we carry so many things le haha.. we give to each other also end up in the dustbin.. lol.. mm.. den we packed and got ready for the night and to have an early journey in the morning..

DAY 3
woke up as usual and brought all our bags along.. the night before group one came and so it was rather crowded.. from 2 classes to about 4 to 5 i guess.. or 6 i am not sure. haha.. den the devotion became long and long.. and there were many discipline issues.. okay.. den we went for breakfast.. ms seh helped us ask to let us eat first cause we are leaving for taman that day.. =)).. den we took a bus to taman negara.. it was very far.. many winding roads and slopes... going up and down and turning and some got bus sick.. den finally we reached... we first took a boat across to the rainforest.. den we walk through the forest and keep walking,.. and climb to reach the canopy.. we keep climbing and reach the canopy stage.. one of us cannot take it further cause of something.. so we accompany her and the rest went up further.. we stayed and wait till they were back down den we went to the canopy walk.. which we call it cannotpee walk.. lol.. those who went up there and down were like so exhausted.. den some got gastrics.. need energy bars.. when everyone was feeling okay already.. we started the CANOPY WALKWAY.. it was an average long walk across.. got sweat bees around.. and many girls keep getting stung on the way.. it was painful.. i got about 3...its like before u knew it it stings u and u will feel the stinging feeling and slowly it will be swollen and the area will go numb.. den its like the pain inside.. den after awhile it became okay.. the instructors took tym trying to calm us that the sting is okay.. haha.. cause for some of us rashes show and really painful...

den we went for lunch in the boats.. and soon after u can react they speed off in the boats and off for RAPID SHOOTING!.. it really took away our fears and pain from the stings and uneasiness in the canopy.. it was fun in the waters and getting wet in the boats.. we shoot each other with the rapids and the wind was enjoyable.. just so calm and nice.. i love it!.. den we laughed and played and really completely relaxed... den after quite long it was over.. we went to change out of wet clothes and head to the cave. it was quite a long way and we slept in the bus..

the CAVE was high up and have to climb a flight of stairs to reach it.. and with our heavy bags we were den assign to tents on top.. we had 6 people and only 4-men tents.. so they put us into 3 3.. and our tent was so spacious.. haha.. so ya... we did not have the night walk cos when we gathered below it was raining.. but i am quite glad.. it was pitch dark by 7.. totally cannot see.. den we cannot go to the toilets also..that spares us of the agony as we dun wan to clean up toilets again.. and we were quite tired of the insects le..
our class gathered in a circle and we played games and laughed and played.. den turn in.. the tents were build on the rocks and the cave was cooling but warm in the tents..took a long time sleeping cause there were many humps and rocks that u can get a free massage. lol.. then goodnight...

DAY 4
we awake and went to the toilets to wash up.. had meals.. and surprisingly, the cave was a place that was having no insects at all.. or probably they dun affect us anymore..lol.. den our class did ABSEILING first...
there was demonstrations first.. and ya the first ten ppl got up.. den i was considering to try or not. it was on a real natural cliff and i duno wad were my fears haha.. den i helped many of them to take off the equipment and to wear them on.. and finally it was my turn.. i decided to try after persuasion from xinpei. okay.. i did it.. it was a slippery and muddy way up to reach the cliff.. it was slope-y.. and can slip all the way down de.. glad to have the boys helped us.. namely daniel and darren.. den we finally made our way to the top of the cliff.. den we were hooked onto lanes and begin the abseil down...i was glad i tried.. it was difficult but a good experience.. remember to keep legs apart and be perpendicular to the cliff and u will do fine.. problem is the cliff has many rocky areas so must really be careful.. many of us suffered cuts and bruises.. i knocked into my knee and ya have some cuts there and cuts on hand...it was okay la.. only slight..others suffered more than that... after washing and cleaning up.. slacked again till lunch time...

CAVING. something that not many will look forward but many will enjoy it super lot.. i love it la.. it was like really very nice.. absolutely uberly nice.. we kept worrying bout leeches and the instructor was like "leech leech leech why u all only care about leech.." lol.. den we trampled into the muddy terrain.. and passing through many swamps and climbing through rocks and caves.. it was difficult but fun.. yet fear of the leeches.. we saw one leech that was sticking a white thing out of its mouth ready to suck someone's blood.. but we all manage to avoid it.. den we went into the caves. there was much to climb.. ladders to go down the way.. and squeezy narrow areas to squeeze through.. den we were in the WIND CAVE.. the wind was so cooling and relaxing.. it was nice.. and fun in there.. den we proceed further to wad they call the MARRIAGE CAVE.. haha not sure but made some sense.. we saw the magnificent glorious LIGHT RAY.. if look upon closely, u can see the spectrum.. the 7 colours.. i love that sight.. den we had time to explore around.. before we made our rocky and swampy way out..

back to the resort we ask to eat dinner first den washed up.. den we gathered to complete all the reflections and tasks and gt ready to take a bus ride to some train station den we waited for the train.. we were all so sleepy and tired.. just like sleepywood.. lol.. den board the train finally at 0224.. settled down and many dozed off.. den it was a long train ride back to singapore.. the train stops many times and move in many directions.. my first time in a train.. it was good..but very very cold.. had a jacket and windbreaker.. wore shorts and track pants.. stil not enough.. many took out sleeping bags to cover haha.. den back to the woodlands check point.. clear customs which by then was in the morning le.. and HOMESWEETHOME..

we were back to urbanisation.. i was quite not used to it.. suddenly back to my hp my mp3 the comp the tv.. the fridge the toilet.. so not used to it haha..

and really thanks to the boys that helped us in the muddy terrain and i guess we really had the team spirit and ya bonded much closer in this camp.. ms seh was very nice to us too.. we really had a fun time cheering and encouraging each other on throughout.. and 5 days is just over.. pretty long but seemingly short.. haha

had a good night of sleep that day and today haha.. x))
