Thursday
Resilience workshop. We went to shines outdoor complex early in the morning.

We had the usual bonding games and orientation games with our facilitator. Our class was split into two, and we were named pikachu. Lols. A weird but funny name. hahas. There were a series of games which i suppose was to test our persistence or something because it was things like 'May i have 1 chip' hahas. the train game was funny too, to see everyone moving around. lols. i guess they want to let us know some life issues and to accept whatever is coming and stuff. There was a round of reflection after every activity.

There was also the tower building game with postcards. I think our class won? it was so cool with half of us building and the other half linking hands and spinning around to prevent the facilitators from destroying our structure. we were told to 'keep building no matter what happens'. i think the whole process was very fun. We rock. hahas.

Then it was the time for elements. We had the choice to plan which element we wanted to do first. But we didn't get to do rock climbing and abseiling first. When we got to do it, there wasn't time left. Anyway we did some of the low elements. Then there was one high element which i didn't have time to go on to. But i think that was really scary. Doing the elements may be simple but the tough part is leading a blindfolded friend across. The low elements involve blindfolding too, or a certain handicap- like not being able to speak and communicate.

I did one of the intermediate element which was swing log i think. I cant really remember the name. hahas. anyway, i thought that climbing up was quite okay since i had experience on other elements last time in ubin and taman. (i miss taman and the memories there). Back to the swing log element, i was up on the platform. It was so scary. =x the first thought that came to me was 'can i like give up now. LOL.' but i know it was impossible to go back down. so i took my first brave step to the first swing log. first thing when my foot landed was, 'so freaking unstable'. then i just keep calm and did it. halfway through i felt that it was quite fun. At the end of it, i felt accomplished. hahas. yeah. at least i tried something and enjoyed it.

I guess team spirit is really important and it may sometimes be the motivation for many things. yupp. (:

Friday
Festival of Life! i signed up for doll making.
We made a doll out of socks, thread and stuff. What surprised me was the amount of needlework involved in it. Really. but i thought it was rather fun, even though my doll didn't turn out to be very nice! hahas.

The weekends are here again. But this means work is piling up again. Well, this week was fun. I guess it's a good way to start the term?
